Virat Kohli becomes No.1 ODI batter - dethrones Rohit Sharma
India's Virat Kohli becomes the No.1 ODI batter, yet again. The superstar batter got to the zenith for the 11th time in ODIs. Kohli becomes the No.1 ODI batter after more than four years, as per the latest ICC Rankings. He replaces Rohit Sharma at the top.
Kohli is in the middle of an incredible run - scoring 74*, 135, 102, 65* and 93 in his last five innings. He has now spent 825 days at the top of the rankings. He sits 10th in the all-time list, topped by the West Indies great Vivian Richards, who held the top spot for an astounding 2,306 days. Kohli achieved this feat for the very first time in October 2013.
Where do the other Indian batters stand?
Rohit Sharma became the oldest No.1 batter in ODIs on 29 October 2025 and he now moves two spots down to No.3. KL Rahul, who finished the chase for India with an unbeaten knock of 21-ball 29 in the 1st ODI against New Zealand, climbed one No. 11 while captain Shubman Gill and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer remained at No. 5 and No. 10 spots, respectively.

Another day, yet another milestone for the superstar. How long can he remain at the top? And, who's most likely to take his spot? Will it be Daryl Mitchell? Will it be Shubman Gill? Only time will tell.
