This post covers the Navagraha Beej Mantras, the seed mantras for the nine planets of Vedic astrology. Read the introduction and full list in Part 1.
Navagraha means "nine planets" or "nine grahas" — Surya, Chandra, Mangal, Budh, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu, and Ketu. In Vedic astrology, these nine are believed to influence different aspects of life, and each has its own beej (seed) mantra, its own fuller Vedic mantra, and, for seven of the nine, its own day of the week.
This is a reference post rather than a deep narrative one. For each graha: the beej mantra, the fuller Vedic mantra, the benefits as commonly stated in tradition, and the day it is associated with, where one exists. I have included a story only where one is well documented — for most of these nine individually, I could not find one reliable enough to include, so I have left it out rather than force one in.
A note on the benefits listed below: these come from the traditions I sourced them from, not from anything I can verify myself. Treat them as what practitioners believe, not as an evidence-based claim.

Friday — Shukra (Venus)
Om Hring Shring Shukraya Namah
(A note on this one: some published sources render the beej mantra with what looks like a typo — Devanagari and transliteration that don't quite match each other. I have used what appears to be the standard, corrected form above rather than reproduce the mismatch.)
Om Annaat Parisruto Rasam Brahmanaa Vyapibat Kshatram Payah Somam Prajaapatih. Sunday — Surya (Sun)
Om Hring Hraung Suryaya Namah
Om Aakrishnena Rajasaa Vartamaano Niveshayannamritam Martyam Cha. Hiranyayena Savitaa Rathenaa Devo Yaati Bhuvanaani Pashyan. Om Suryaay Namah.
Benefits: Power, strength, authority, and longevity.
Rahu
Om Aing Hring Rahave Namah
Om Kayaanashchitra Aa Bhuvadootee Sadaavridhah Sakhaa. Kayaa Shachishthayaa Vritaa. Om Raahave Namah.
Benefits: Material blessings, charisma, and an ambitious nature.
Day: Rahu is a shadow planet without a single, clean weekday association. Some sources pair it with Saturday, alongside Shani; others treat it as having no dedicated day at all. I would not present this as settled.
Story: Rahu and Ketu share one well-documented origin story, from the Samudra Manthan, the churning of the cosmic ocean. When the nectar of immortality emerged, the asura Svarbhanu disguised himself among the Devas to drink it. Surya and Chandra noticed and alerted Lord Vishnu, who severed his head with the Sudarshan Chakra before the nectar passed his throat. Because his head had already tasted the nectar, it survived — becoming Rahu — while the body became Ketu.
Ketu
Om Hring Aing Ketave Namah
Om Ketum Krinvannaketave Pesho Maryaa Apeshase. Samushadbhirajaayathaah. Om Ketave Namah.
Benefits: Wisdom, spiritual progress, and forward movement in life.
Day: Like Rahu, Ketu does not have a single fixed weekday in most traditions.
Story: As above — Ketu is the body that remained after Vishnu's Sudarshan Chakra separated Rahu's head, during the Samudra Manthan.
