IPL 2026: DC vs RCB - Stat Attack
Delhi Capitals were humbled, destroyed, hammered in their home ground by the defending champions. IPL is the toughest T20 league in the world for a reason. One day you score 264 and the next game you barely manage to score any. Axar Patel and co. didn't see it coming.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the toss and chose to bowl first and bowl Delhi out is what they did.
How is Bhuvneshwar Kumar not in contention to play for India is still one of the biggest mysteries in Indian cricket. The Indian pacer set it up for Bengaluru when he bowled a lethal in-swinger to Sahil Parakh (on debut). That was the beginning. Delhi were reeling at 8/6 inside the powerplay and if it were not for their lower-order, getting bowled out under 49 was very much under the cards. Bhuvi finished with figures of 3/5, Josh Hazlewood bagged 4 for 12. Abhishek Porel top scored for Delhi with 30 and that was it. DC got bowled for 75, their third lowest total in IPL history. Bengaluru came out all guns blazing and completed the chase with 81 deliveries to spare.
RCB after that win go to 12 pts (6W/2L, NRR +1.919) and are second on the points table. DC have now lost three in a row and are placed seventh - 8 matches with 3W/5L and NRR -1.060.

Can the Delhi Capitals bounce back in the next game? They'll be kicking themselves for not closing games. A one-run defeat against the Gujarat Titans and blowing up after posting 264 on the board against the Punjab Kings. How will their season turn? Is qualification to the play-offs, still a possibility for Delhi? RCB, on the other hand, have a winning template. Their squad looks balanced and all the key players are stepping up at the right time.
